April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, and Climbers Against Cancer are supporting Bowel Cancer UK to support their mission: Beating bowel cancer together.
The awareness colour for Bowel Cancer is Blue, so from April right through until the end of June, all the profits (that’s typically around 40%) from the sale of every blue item of CAC gear will be donated to Bowel Cancer UK via Work for Good. Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK. Almost 43,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year in the UK, and 1 in 15 men and 1 in 18 women will be diagnosed with bowel cancer during their lifetime. During the course of the month we will also be posting important information to help communicate risk factors and actions you can take, as a part of our commitment to raising awareness in the climbing community and beyond.
