Sometimes we think we should have called ourselves Climbers against Cancers, plural, because there isn’t just one type. In fact, there are more types of cancer than months in the year, which is quite a depressing thought!
There are some variants depending on what country you are in, but if we look at the list of Cancer Ribbon colours and associated months (as cited on emedicinehealth.com), we see how we have to ‘double up’!
So, while most people can remember Pink October (for breast cancer), how many of the following would you have been able to name?

(No, we don’t know either why there’s nothing in December, nor why Appendix cancer doesn’t have its own month!)
In our Awareness Tip Tuesday feature on social media, we’ll be reminding you of these and hopefully providing some useful information, whether statistical or about prevention, to do with the ‘cancer of the moment’. Why not follow us to make sure you don’t miss out?
And as we are about raising funds to fight all of these, we’ll be promoting our merchandise of each month’s colour(s)….for January, cervical cancer month, there’s a choice of white or teal.
